Job summary

Holt Senior Care & Rehab Center in Holt, MI is seeking a maintenance/janitorial professional to maintain the facility’s appearance and safety. You will manage floors, use floor machines, and perform routine cleaning in a senior living environment.

The role is full-time with an Afternoon/Evening shift and some mornings. Starting wages include $14.50 per hour, with Hero Pay of $0.85 per hour and yearly wage increases; a strong benefits package is offered, including medical, PTO, dental/vision, and

Qualifications

• 1+ year of janitorial experience.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience with floor care and hard floor surfaces (VCT, Ceramic, Marble, Terrazzo) and carpet maintenance in commercial settings.
• Experience using low/high speed floor equipment and carpet cleaning/extraction equipment.
• Ability to lift at least 35 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Must work with others and take direction from supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Maintain outstanding appearance of floors (hard floors and carpet).
• Operate floor machines and hand tools.
• Perform routine cleaning including trash removal, mopping, stripping, buffing, window cleaning, dusting, sweeping, and furniture polishing.
• Move and set up furniture as needed.

You will earn: $15.35 per hour to start!

Position Schedule

How You Will Help People Every Day

• Will maintain an outstanding appearance to all floors (hard floors and carpet) in a facility.
• Will use machines and hand tools.
• Will also perform routine building cleaning under supervision, including trash removal; mopping, stripping, buffing of floors; window cleaning; dusting, dust-mopping, and sweeping; cleaning laboratories; furniture polishing; moving and setting up furniture.

What you will need to be part of our EPIC team:

• 1+ years of janitorial experience
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must have previous floor care experience and knowledge of cleaning and maintaining hard floor surfaces such as VCT, Ceramic Tile, Marble, Terrazzo as well as experience and knowledge in maintaining carpets in a commercial environment.
• Must have experience using low speed and high speed floor equipment and carpet cleaning/ extraction equipment.
• Must be able to clean facility efficiently, which includes walking, standing, reaching, stooping, bending and lifting.
• Must have ability to work with other crew members and take direction from supervisor, must be able to perform all physical aspects of job including lifting at least 35lbs.
