Job summary

Goodwill Easterseals Miami Valley is seeking a dedicated janitor to maintain clean, safe facilities in the Greene County Ledbetter Complex. You will perform routine cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and trash removal to meet quality standards in government and commercial spaces.

• Ability to read and identify chemical labels on containers.
• Experience with proper use of janitorial chemicals and mechanical equipment.
• Must pass a criminal background check and random drug screens.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations.

Responsibilities

• Facility Maintenance: maintain a safe and clean environment with high/low dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal.
• Sanitization: clean and sanitize restrooms to meet health and safety standards.
• Floor Care: perform dust mopping, wet mopping, stripping, scrubbing, and carpet spot cleaning.
• Specialized Cleaning: clean computer rooms, glass, and polish furniture, chrome, and stainless steel.
• Compliance: adhere to agency policies, safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Government Standards: maintain performance standards subject to inspection by officials.
• Warehouse Support: assist with bailing cardboard, returning empty skids, and cleaning spills.

Summary

To clean assigned areas in commercial and government facilities to an acceptable level of quality. Must possess a working knowledge of janitorial terms and perform tasks within established time standards.

• Facility Maintenance : Maintain a safe and clean environment by performing high/low dusting, vacuuming, and emptying trash.
• Sanitization : Clean and sanitize restroom fixtures to meet high health and safety standards.
• Floor Care : Perform dust mopping, wet mopping, stripping, scrubbing, and carpet spot cleaning.
• Specialized Cleaning: Clean computer rooms, glass surfaces, and polish furniture, chrome, and stainless steel.
• Compliance : Adhere to all Agency policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

including CARF, OSHA, and the Department of Labor.

• Government Standards : Maintain performance standards subject to inspection by government officials.
• Warehouse Support : Assist with bailing cardboard, returning empty skids, and cleaning spills in stocking aisles as required.
