SSC Services For Education in Navasota, TX is hiring for full-time and part-time janitor positions within the Navasota Independent School District. Openings at other district locations are available. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedules include 6:30 AM–2:30 PM for full-time and 5:00 PM–10:00 PM for part-time; days may vary to accommodate scheduling needs. Prior janitorial experience is preferred, but not required. Compensation ranges from $11.00 to $11.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp-mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and places furniture back in correct placement.
• Clears assigned areas with assigned materials and equipment, sanitizes all surfaces, and follows the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for students, visitors and staff.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervision.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refines floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team; exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

We are hiring immediately for full time and part time JANITOR positions.

Job Summary

Keeps buildings clean and orderly. Performs heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
