Job summary

Park Place of Elmhurst is a five-star community located across the street from Edward Elmhurst hospital, offering independent living with a full continuum of care. We are seeking a Full-Time Janitor, 7:30AM-4:00PM, to support our mission of delivering quality care to residents.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and interpersonal skills to interact professionally with residents, families, and visitors. Prior janitorial experience is preferred to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Previous janitorial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
• Remove dirt, dust, grease, film and other residues from surfaces using appropriate cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
• Discard waste and trash into proper containers and reline with plastic liners.
• Ensure work areas and equipment are stored properly and secured before leaving for breaks and at day end.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
• Remove dirt, dust, grease, film, etc., from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
• Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline with plastic liner.
• Ensure that work/assignment areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc., are properly stored at all times, as well as before leaving such areas for breaks, mealtimes, and end of the workday.
