Job Title: Janitor

We are hiring immediately for full-time JANITOR positions at Crawfordsville Community Schools, located at 715 Wallace Avenue, Crawfordsville, IN 47933. Other locations within the school district may also have openings. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm. Additional details will be provided during the interview.

Requirements: Previous custodial experience is preferred but not required. Willing to train!

Pay Rate: $13.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Maintains cleanliness and order in buildings by performing heavy cleaning duties such as floor cleaning, rug shampooing, wall and glass washing, and rubbish removal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors following procedures.
• Move equipment and furniture for cleaning and return them to proper placement.
• Clean assigned areas using designated materials and equipment, sanitizing all surfaces and following the eight-step cleaning process.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean environment.
• Identify areas needing cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisors, adhering to federal, state, and county guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
• Contribute to team efforts and exhibit professionalism with customers and colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
