Job summary

ESFM® USA in Portage, Indiana is looking for a dedicated Janitor to maintain cleanliness and order in the facilities. The role involves various heavy cleaning tasks, such as washing floors and walls, disposing of trash, and ensuring a sanitized environment.

Working full-time from Monday to Friday, you will be responsible for using approved procedures and materials to achieve high standards of cleanliness. Benefits include retirement plans and health insurance.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dusts and damp‑mops floors following approved procedures.
• Moves equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and replaces furniture in correct placement.
• Cleans assigned areas with assigned materials and equipment and sanitizes all surfaces following an eight‑step cleaning procedure.
• Washes walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Seeks out areas requiring cleaning and takes initiative to complete tasks.
• Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
• Strips, scrubs, buffs and refinishes floors; shampoos carpet.
• Contributes to the team and exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow employees and others.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Keeps buildings clean and orderly. Performs heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.

6350 Prairie School Dr., Portage, IN 46368.

Schedule

Full-time. Monday through Friday. Hours may vary; approximately 40 hours per week.

Compensation

$16.50 per hour.
