Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor. The role involves performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of areas inside a building or multiple client sites. The schedule is Mon-Sat 6a-11a and Sun 7a-noon, totaling 35 hours per week, with a pay rate of $14 per hour and weekly pay.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (or 6 months janitorial experience), be detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions. On-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of six months in janitorial work.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to follow instructions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces (sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming).
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to protect floors and surfaces.
• Clean and monitor restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas.
• Empty trash and manage waste disposal; operate a compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaners and equipment.
• Spot clean carpets and assist with shampooing and extractions.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow the established housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, buffers).
• Perform other duties as needed per scope of work or client needs.
