Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is seeking a Janitor to perform all-purpose cleaning and upkeep of assigned areas within a building or multiple client sites. The role requires flexibility to meet client specifications and may involve working various shifts.

Position offers part-time and full-time opportunities with a pay rate of $13 per hour, with scheduling from Monday through Sunday, 6am to 11am. Prior cleaning experience is helpful but not required; on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or six months janitorial experience.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas.
• Empty trash and manage disposal with occasional use of a compactor.
• Clean windows, glass partitions and mirrors with appropriate cleaners.
• Spot clean carpets and assist in extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies and follow housekeeping schedule.
• Operate heavy cleaning equipment like floor scrubbers and buffers as needed.
• Perform other duties as required by the scope of work or client needs.

Job Description

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor. The Janitor position is responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned area inside a particular building or multiple client sites. Exact tasks of janitorial crew are not definite, consequently, must be flexible in performing assigned duties per client’s specifications.

Mon-Sun 6a-11a

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and other objects
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas
• Empty trash cans for proper disposal; use of compactor for certain materials
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
• Follow housekeeping schedule
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Other duties as assigned, as required by the scope of work or customer needs

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of six (6) months of experience in a janitorial type position
• On the job training will be provided
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions effectively

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

• Prior cleaning or janitorial experience
• Familiarity with custodial practices and commercial cleaning standards
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance
