Job summary

GDI, Inc. in Battle Creek, MI is hiring a Full Time General Cleaner to maintain and cleaning duties Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.

You will clean restrooms, floors, remove trash, and follow safety and quality standards while coordinating with clients and team members.

The role requires reliability, ability to follow supervisor instructions, and physical stamina; steel‑toe shoes may be required in some areas.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to work with other crew members.
• Must be able to listen to customer requests and follow supervisor instructions.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Steel toed shoes required when applicable.
• Ability to work in hot conditions.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must meet all requirements to receive approval for working in specific power plan environment, including ten-year work history if available.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains building, performs cleaning duties such as cleaning restrooms, sweeping, mopping floors removing trash.
• Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisor, manager.
• Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Client, DTE Fermi
• Grounds/Cleaner must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.
