  • Maintain aisle ways in the molding areas.
  • Clean parking lot and remove trash; tidy around storage and compactor area.

Position:Janitor - 1st Shift

Location: Riverside, MO

US Farathane - Riverside, MO is searching for a 1st Shift Janitor.

Janitor is responsible for maintaining the basic appearance of the inside and outside of the plant, and for maintaining the safe passage of all walkways and work areas.

US Farathanehas been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, US Farathane has continued to grow each year. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black-box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE’s and TPO’s as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.

  • Responsible for cleaning up unexpected spills in the molding areas (oil/water leaks, material leaks, parts etc.). This includes the upkeep of recurring oil leaks using designated vacuum and/or oil absorbent pads and proper disposal thereof.
  • Responsible for maintaining the aisle ways in the molding areas.
  • Responsible for maintaining the appearance of cleanliness in the parking lot including the removal of all trash, cleaning around the compactor and straightening of and around outside storage as needed.
  • Responsible for the washing and the wiping of all assigned equipment as directed by supervision.
  • Responsible for the removal of all resin from the molding machines, their base and the surrounding floor.
  • Responsible to keep cleaning supplies stocked and secure underneath Mezz when not in use.
  • Responsible to follow all OSHA and safety related rules and regulations.
  • Responsible to follow all USF policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Plastic Injection Molding background is helpful.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
