Job summary

The Marshes of Skidaway Island is seeking a full-time Porter/Janitor to provide extraordinary service to our residents. The role involves major floor care projects, trash disposal, and keeping all equipment and supplies in proper condition.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 18, and pass a drug screen and background check. Physical stamina is required for a long workday with standing, walking, and lifting tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
• Previous floor maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• Must be able to perform moderate to heavy physical effort 95% of the work day; stand and walk long distances up to 8 hours per day; stoop and kneel; lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide extraordinary service to residents.
• Perform major floor care projects and trash disposal.
• Maintain all equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Pay is $18 -$19 per hour.

Must be able to stoop and work from a kneeling position, perform repetitive bending, reaching and stretching. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. independently.
