Job summary

GENCO General Contractors of P.R. Corp. is seeking a Full Time Janitor in San Juan, PR to maintain cleanliness and safety in a federal facility. The role requires the ability to work independently or as part of a team with flexible hours including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, windows, restrooms, waste removal, inventory checks, and reporting issues to supervisors. Must pass a background check and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in janitorial services.
• Familiarity with janitorial tools and equipment.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
• Must be able to pass background check (Position is in Federal Facility).
• Applicants must be able to work flexible hours including holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.
• Must be physically capable of lifting to 50 lbs., walking, standing, squatting, kneeling frequently.

Responsibilities

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, or scrubbing.
• Clean windows and mirrors, and supply restrooms.
• Remove waste and empty trash cans.
• Maintain cleaning cart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected.
• Replenish cleaning and maintenance suppliesOrganize janitorial storages areas.
• Notify Supervisors about unsafe or concerning conditions that need repairs or maintenance.
• Vacuuming carpets and mats, sweeping/moping floor, and tile cleaning.
