Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor in Phoenix, AZ. The role involves performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned areas inside single or multiple client sites. You must be flexible to perform duties per client specifications in a full-time capacity.

The schedule is 5pm–2am, Monday–Friday, with a pay rate of $16.00 per hour and weekly pay. Training will be provided, and the candidate should be detail-oriented and able to follow instructions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; or at least six months of janitorial experience.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and power equipment to protect surfaces.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrances.
• Empty trash and manage waste according to site guidelines.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors with appropriate cleaners.
• Spot clean carpets and assist with carpet care as needed.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies; follow housekeeping schedule.
• Occasionally operate heavy cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and buffers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by client scope.

Job Description

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor. The Janitor position is responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned area inside a particular building or multiple client sites. Exact tasks of janitorial crew are not definite, consequently, must be flexible in performing assigned duties per client’s specifications.

SCHEDULE:

• Full Time
• 5pm - 2am
• Monday - Friday

PAY RATE: $16.00 per hour

Weekly Pay

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and other objects
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas
• Empty trash cans for proper disposal; use of compactor for certain materials
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
• Follow housekeeping schedule
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Other duties as assigned, as required by the scope of work or customer needs

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of six (6) months of experience in a janitorial type position
• On the job training will be provided
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions effectively

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

• Prior cleaning or janitorial experience
• Familiarity with custodial practices and commercial cleaning standards
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance
