Job summary

Turner Industries in Longview, TX seeks a janitor to maintain premises and assist skilled workers as needed. You will report to the Foreman and follow specific procedures. The role is non-exempt and includes a 5 am-3:30 pm schedule Mon-Thu with a half-day Friday once a month.

Duties include cleaning offices and industrial spaces, dusting, sweeping, mopping, waxing, and restroom cleaning, while complying with safety requirements and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• General knowledge of cleaning.
• Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy.
• Comply with company and client job site safety requirements.
• Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Maintain premises; ensure offices, industrial buildings and outer grounds are clean and orderly; dusting, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and buffing floors; cleaning fixtures and furnishings.
• Clean lavatories, showers, and rest rooms; use janitorial supplies; perform non-mechanical tasks; adapt to supervisor's direction.
• Perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor.

We are seeking individuals for Janitorial position in Longview, TX. Janitors are expected to maintain the premise and occasionally assist skilled workers in performing their assigned duties. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.

Schedule: 5 am-3:30pm Monday- Thursday; half day on Friday once a month

Essential Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent

Functional Requirements:

Maintains premises; ensures rest and working areas of offices, industrial buildings and outer grounds are in clean and orderly condition; performs a combination of dusting furniture, walls, fixtures, and equipment; sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and buffering floors; polishing furniture, fixtures, and trimmings; using janitorial supplies; cleaning lavatories, showers, and rest rooms; performs a variety of non-mechanical tasks; spends time on the job or may be transferred from task to task as needed; perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Compensation

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
