Job summary

Rite of Passage is hiring a full-time Janitor at Uta Halee Academy in Omaha, Nebraska. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness across campus facilities, including cottages, admin and education buildings, and staff housing.

You will use a mule or golf cart to navigate the 44-acre site, perform laundry tasks, and engage with youth as appropriate in a safe, supportive environment. A high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
• Must pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of 44-acre site (sweep, vacuum, mop cottages, admin building, education building, staff house).
• Operate mule or golf cart to get around campus.
• Includes laundry tasks.

What you will do

As a Janitor, you will ensure the cleanliness of our 44-acre site, including sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping our cottages, administrative building, education building, and staff house. The position requires frequent use of a mule or golf cart to get around campus. This position includes laundry tasks. This position may involve some interaction with our youth.

To be considered, you should:

• Possess a high school diploma/and or GED
• possess a valid driver's license
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test
• Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Schedule

Monday to Friday from 5 a.m. - 1 p.m.
