Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is seeking a Janitor to perform all-purpose cleaning and preservation across client sites. The role requires flexibility in duties per client specifications and offers both part-time and full-time opportunities with standard weekly pay.

The position involves cleaning floors, restrooms, common areas and surfaces, with on-site training provided. Prior janitorial experience is helpful but not required, and attention to detail is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; six months janitorial experience optional.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for chemical cleaners and equipment to protect floors and surfaces.
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, rooms, corridors and entrances.
• Empty trash and manage waste disposal; operate compactors as needed.
• Clean windows, mirrors and glass partitions using appropriate cleaners.
• Spot clean carpets and assist with carpet extraction and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow housekeeping schedules and use heavy cleaning equipment as required.

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor. The Janitor position is responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned area inside a particular building or multiple client sites. Exact tasks of janitorial crew are not definite, consequently, must be flexible in performing assigned duties per client’s specifications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and other objects
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrance areas
• Empty trash cans for proper disposal; use of compactor for certain materials
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
• Follow housekeeping schedule
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers
• Other duties as assigned, as required by the scope of work or customer needs

Qualifications (must Have)

• High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of six (6) months of experience in a janitorial type position
• On the job training will be provided
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions effectively

Preferred Qualifications (nice To Have)

• Prior cleaning or janitorial experience
• Familiarity with custodial practices and commercial cleaning standards
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing
• Experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance
