Job summary

Duluth Trading Company is seeking a morning janitor at our headquarters near Madison, WI to ensure a clean and safe environment for employees and visitors.

The role runs from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, with duties including office cleaning, trash/recycling, restrooms, break rooms, dusting, and inventory of supplies. Responsibilities

• Trash and recycle paper, nightly.
• Vacuum as needed; weekly minimum.
• Adjust task list to minimize vacuum noise during contact center hours.
• Dust all work surfaces weekly.
• Clean glass doors nightly; windows as requested.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and showers.
• Maintain cleanliness of lunchrooms and break rooms.
• Recommend purchases of cleaning supplies; manage inventory.
• Remove snow from sidewalks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

Position Details

This position will be from 6am to 2:30pm Monday-Friday.

Work Environment:

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain cleanliness in the office areas, and main lobby.
• Trash and recycle paper removal -nightly
• Vacuum as needed. Weekly minimum
• Adjust task list to minimize effects of vacuum noise during contact center business hours.
• Dust all work surfaces weekly
• Clean glass doors nightly – windows as requested
• Maintain cleanliness of all restrooms and showers in the facility
• Maintain cleanliness of all lunchroom and upper-level break rooms.
• Recommend purchases of cleaning supplies. Maintain inventory and communicate to warehouse supervisor when replenishment of supplies is needed.
• Removal of snow from sidewalks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

• High School Diploma
  • Equivalent work experience will be considered
• Floor stripping and waxing experience preferred
• Ability to adjust daily task schedule as needed to support the operations
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Physical Environment & Travel Expectations:

• Travel is required for less than 10% of company-related meetings, programs, and/or events.
• Sitting is required for 10% of working hours.
• Standing is required for 90% of working hours.
• Continuous arm, hand, and wrist movement (ie: typing, folding garments)
• Frequently reaching, twisting, and bending in multiple directions.
• Moderate warehouse noise level.
• Ability to perform work in tight quarter workstations.
• Work in temperatures ranging from 50 - 95 degrees.
• Push/pull a picking cart and/or pallet of up to five hundred pounds.
• The ability to walk long distances
• The ability to climb flights of stairs throughout the day
• The ability to either stand for long periods of time
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work area to another
• Adjusting or moving objects over 20 lbs. in all directions
• Standing or walking for up to eight hours a day.
• Occasional reaching, twisting, and bending.
• Ability to do physical work: lift, climb, reach, carry heavy objects.

Position Compensation Outline

Compensation Range: $18.00/hour.

Compensation listed is for the full-time position at this specific location and is based on several factors, including experience, and qualifications. Benefits and perks may have eligibility requirements and are subject to change.
