Job summary

• Follow safety instructions for chemicals and supplies; use ladders when required.
• Operate powered industrial trucks (pallet rider and forklift).

Janitor Temp to Hire$17.00/hr + $1.00 Shift differential2nd Shift (1 position needed)Base Pay: $17.00/hourShift Differential: $1.00/hourShift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM, Monday through Friday

Position Summary:

Maintain general building upkeep within a distribution and/or office environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform standard janitorial duties including dusting, detailing, vacuuming, sanitizing and cleaning restrooms, warehouse, offices, common areas and kitchen.
• Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences, events, etc.
• Use and maintain assigned power equipment, hand tools, buffers, auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc.
• Use ladders when required in work assignments.
• Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as - Have essential physical and mental capabilities in the following: Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, follow directions, comprehension, calculating, reading, writing, speaking, evaluating, mathematics, organizing and innovation.
• Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
• Operate powered industrial trucks (pallet rider and fork lift)

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• One year of janitorial/custodial experience is preferred.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• May need to lift up to 50 lbs.
