Job summary

Controlled Contamination Services in Gilbert, AZ seeks a dependable Janitor to perform general cleaning of interior buildings, lobby, restrooms and offices per contract. You will vacuum, mop, dust, disinfect and report hazards while following safety rules. Requires a HS diploma or GED or equivalent, and basic arithmetic skills.

Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and replace liners.
• Vacuum, mop, strip and wax floors, sweep all areas.
• Dust, clean glass, polish, and sanitize all areas.
• Wash and disinfect assigned work areas.
• Note and report repairs or hazards to supervisor.
• Follow safety rules and company policies.
• Report property damage, suspicious activities, and unsafe conditions.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Position Purpose

The Janitor role in the company is responsible for the general upkeep, maintenance cleaning of interior buildings/facilities/lobby’s office areas, restrooms and all areas determined by contract or assigned by supervisor.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Pick up trash and replace with trash liners
• Vacuum, mop, strip and wax, and sweep all floor areas
• Dust, wall spot, clean all glass, polish, sanitize all areas.
• Wash, clean, wipe down, sponge, rinse, scour and disinfect any assigned work area
• Note and report all areas in need of repair and any hazardous condition requiring correction.
• Adhere to all safety rules and requirements and all policies and procedures
• Report all damage to customer property, suspicious activities and unsafe conditions within their work area to the supervisor.
• All other duties as defined by supervisor.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
