Job summary

Six Mile, LLC (SML) is seeking a full-time Janitor to join our team! This position keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition, performs basic cleaning requirements, trash and solid waste removal, carpet cleaning, and cafeteria/break area cleaning.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs routine cleaning.
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Clean windows, glass, partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Follows proper safety protocols.
• Adherence to all safety procedures and use of proper PPE.
• Adhere to all Occupation Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and applicable state and local environmental, health and safety rules and regulations.
• Performs incidental tasks related to the position as well as various duties, as assigned, to support the overall objectives/goals of the team while maintaining a positive attitude.

REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum one (1) year janitorial experience.
• Must have the ability to carry heavy objects of up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push, pull, stoop, bend or stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
