Job summary

Crane Currency in Dalton, MA is hiring a Janitor to maintain clean, safe and orderly mill spaces including break rooms, offices, shop, hallways and restrooms. You will handle cleaning tasks, restock supplies, test eyewashes and showers, and assist with moving heavy objects.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to read, write, keep neat and accurate records, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Ability to obtain a forklift truck license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean and orderly general mill areas including the break room, mill offices, shop, hallways and stairs.
• Clean and restock all mill restrooms on a daily basis.
• Order mill cleaning supplies and distribute in the mill as needed (cleaners, paper towels, etc.).
• Clean and test all eyewashes and showers weekly.
• Perform minor shoveling and sanding for steps and walkways in the winter to maintain slip‑free exterior surfaces between snow-removal contractor visits.
• Must have the ability to work from a ladder in high places (painting, etc.).
• Assist with moving heavy objects such as desks, file cabinets, etc.

Crane Currency has an immediate position opening for a Janitor. Based out of Dalton, MA.

You will join a team entrusted with the responsibility of creating the paper and security products that our customers and their economies run on. Your focus on safety, quality and delivery will help strengthen your fellow team members and deliver on the core metrics that fuel the business. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for the overall appearance, cleanliness and materials recycling for the Wahconah mill.

The hourly pay range for this position is $23.02 to $25.80.

Overtime is compensated at time and a half after 8 hours in a day, all day Saturday, and double time on Sunday.
