Compensation: $19.93 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Restroom Cleaning – sanitize and clean toilets, urinals, sinks, fixtures, partitions, walls & doors. Restock supplies. Collect trash and replace liners. Sweep and mop floors. Follow cross-contamination procedures.
  • Office Cleaning – sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule. Spot entry doors.
  • Cleaning halls, high-traffic areas, entrances, and exits – sweep, mop, vacuum according to schedule. Spot entry doors.
  • Trash collection from lunchrooms, coffee areas, restrooms, shower/locker areas, and office spaces according to schedule.
  • Restocking supplies daily.
  • Dusting in lunch/coffee areas, restrooms, shower/locker areas, and other areas as needed.
  • Cleaning stairwells – sweep, mop, vacuum, wipe handrails according to schedule.
  • Cleaning portable showers – clean stalls, wipe dust, restock supplies, mop floors following cross-contamination procedures.
  • Maintaining lockers – clean and organize; clean and rinse equipment before storing.
  • Wet/dry mopping and sweeping according to schedule.
  • Communicating with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Must be able to work up to a 40-hour work week.
  • Must complete and submit a Questionnaire for National Security Positions Standard Form (SF86) within 90 days of employment as applicable for secret clearance.
Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of PSNS work areas, including waterfront areas, preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • 6 months of janitorial experience preferred.
Physical Requirements

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods, with reasonable accommodation as needed.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and perform repetitive motions for several hours.
  • Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and climbing stairs may be required.
  • Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods.
Requirements
  • A valid state driver’s license required with the ability to obtain and maintain Tessera insurance.
