A-1 Industries of Georgia in Bainbridge, GA is seeking a Maintenance Janitor to maintain cleanliness and safety across the facility on a day shift.

This full-time role requires reliability and basic cleaning skills, the ability to follow instructions, and a positive, professional approach. You will vacuum, sweep, mop, restock, and report repairs to keep the site in top condition. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent training.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred, not required.
• Excellent cleaning skills and safety awareness.

The Maintenance Janitor will perform a variety of janitorial duties to ensure that the facility is cared for and inspected according to company standards.

Essential duties

• Perform a variety of cleaning duties such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, rearranging, and restocking.
• Clean and stock restrooms.
• Rearrange/move equipment and furniture such as desks, tables, and chairs.
• Report repairs and replacements needed when encountered.
• Inspect the facility for maintenance of proper housekeeping standards.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Excellent working knowledge of cleaning appliances and their operations and proper use of cleaning agents.

• Knowledge of MSDS.

Physical Requirements

This job operates in a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and utilizes chemicals necessary for janitorial activities. This role will be required to enter the production area daily and will be subject to safety requirements. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
