Job summary

Bay Area Youth Services Inc. seeks a JAC Program Manager to provide leadership for the Youth Screening Program across two counties. You will oversee staff performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and align the program with agency goals, with responsibility for supervision, training, and timekeeping.

The role requires coordinating with multiple teams, conducting coaching, and developing program improvements. Location is Orange County, with travel to Brevard County JAC as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Five+ years in Juvenile Justice or related field with at least two years of progressive supervisory or program management experience.
• Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License and Auto Insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Ensures adherence to DJJ standards, agency policies, and contractual requirements.
• Coordinates communication between assigned Juvenile Assessment Center/screening teams.
• Conducts supervisory meetings and provides coaching to Shift Supervisors.
• Reviews staff performance and develops evaluations and plans.
• Ensures timely submission of reports, data, and QA documentation.
• Oversees training functions including onboarding and compliance-based instruction.
• Collaborates with agency leadership for program improvements.
• Attends meetings, trainings, and leadership sessions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job description

The JAC Program Manager provides overall leadership and oversight for the Youth Screening Program across two assigned counties. The JAC Program Manager ensures consistent quality of service, staff performance, compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, and program alignment with agency goals. This position manages all personnel matters, oversees staff supervision and training, and coordinates scheduling and timekeeping for all program staff.

This position is eligible for a $1k sign on bonus paid out as follows:

$250 after 30 days, $250 after 90 days and $500 after successfully completing 6 months

*Position location is in Orange County but travel to our Brevard County JAC is required

We are looking for a JAC Program Manager who must have:

• Bachelor's degree in human services, social work, criminology, or a closely related field required. Master's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
• At least five (5) years of experience in Juvenile Justice, social services, or a related human services field, including at least two (2) years of progressive supervisory or program management experience.
• Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License and Auto Insurance coverage.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures adherence to DJJ standards, agency policies, and all contractual requirements.

• Conducts regular supervisory meetings and provides coaching and support to Shift Supervisors.
• Reviews staff performance feedback provided by Shift Supervisors and incorporates input into evaluations and development plans.
• Ensures timely submission of required reports, data, and quality assurance documentation.
• Provides direct oversight of all training functions, including onboarding, refresher, and compliance-based instruction.
• Collaborates with agency leadership to develop and implement program improvement initiatives.
• Attends required meetings, trainings, and leadership sessions.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
