Job summary

Geo Owl seeks a J33 Battlewatch Support Analyst to guard ongoing SOCCENT operations, monitor personnel movements, and coordinate critical information across the command. The role supports a 24/7 environment, ensuring timely communication to senior leadership and rapid reporting of significant events.

• Experience preparing and disseminating operational reports (SITREPs, PERSTATs, OPSUMs, CCIR).
• Ability to monitor, track, and report personnel movements and significant incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide a 24/7, 365 days per year team that is the Command’s central notification and data-source center for crises and significant events.
• Maintain the Battlewatch section with 100% compliance and coordinate with other sections as needed.
• Prepare and execute routine daily reports on SOCCENT operations, personnel, and laydown status.
• Create and disseminate daily reports (SITREPs, DEPREPs, PERSTAT, J3 briefs, OPSUM, CCIR) and track travel status in NIPR/SIPR databases.
• Document initial 5Ws reports (CCIR, incidents) and coordinate with subordinate commands per regulatory requirements.
• Provide 100% compliant emergency notifications to command leadership and support COOP training/ contingencies.
• Report Battlewatch status during emergencies and travel to alternate locations as required.

Job description

We are currently seeking an J33 Battlewatch Support Analyst.This position is contingent on contract award, with an expected start dateofDecember 1, 2026. As a Battlewatch Support Analyst, you will support a high-priority Special Operations mission by monitoring ongoing operations, tracking personnel and force movements, and coordinating critical information across the command. This position plays a key role in maintaining situational awareness, preparing operational reports, and ensuring timely communication of significant events and incidents to senior leadership. You will work alongside military and government personnel in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment to support mission readiness, emergency response, and effective command and control operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide a 24/7, 365 days per year team that is the Command’s central notification and data-source center for both crisis and other significant, non-routine events.
• Maintain the Battlewatch section with 100% compliance. Personnel from other sections may be used to replace Battlewatch vacancies.
• Prepare and execute routine daily reports that document the status of current SOCCENT operations, all personnel, and SOF laydown.
• Create, update, and disseminate daily reports including but not limited to SITREPs, DEPREPs, consolidated PERSTAT, J3 force laydown brief, OPSUM, Commanders Critical Information Reports (CCIR) notifications, and daily ops primer. Maintains daily accurate records of all personnel traveling within the AOR, recording their status on NIPR and SIPR databases. Tracks and maintains daily key leader location product that is disseminated to the entire SOCCENT enterprise.
• Accurately document initial 5Ws (who, what, when, where, why) report (i.e. CCIR, serious incidents, disasters), providing responsive and accurate information regarding potential victims, and effecting coordination with subordinate commands/commanders IAW regulatory requirements. Submits timely incident reports to the J3 and other SOCCENT leadership to include the Chief of Staff and Commander, as well as CENTCOM/SOCOM as required.
• Notify with 100% compliance across the spectrum of potential events (personal emergencies, physical security, natural disasters, and emergency or military contingencies) to command leadership.
• Provide support with the planning and execution of SOCCENT Continuation of Operations (COOP) training or real-world contingency missions. This may require prolonged travel to an alternate/contingency command and control location during real world events, i.e. hurricane evacuation.
• Battlewatch Supervisor and Battlewatch Support team members will report location, status, and well-being to COR during emergency situations such as hurricane evacuation, tropical storms, etc. which may involve displacement.

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Experience in military operations, intelligence operations, command and control, or watch floor operations.
• Familiarity with Special Operations Forces (SOF) and combatant command structures.
• Experience preparing and disseminating operational reports, including SITREPs, PERSTATs, OPSUMs, and CCIR notifications.
• Ability to monitor, track, and report personnel movements, operational activities, and significant incidents.
• Proficiency with NIPR and SIPR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies, coordinate notifications, and provide accurate information to senior leadership.
• Willingness to travel or temporarily relocate in support of contingency operations and emergency situations.
