FabCorp/Hammonds seeks a Waterjet Operator to set up and run waterjet cutting machines for metal and nonmetal parts. You will read blueprints, verify materials, and adjust speeds, feeds, and coolant to produce parts to spec.

This hourly, non-exempt role requires shop math skills, blueprint reading, and familiarity with machine controls. You will perform daily maintenance, keep the workspace clean, and alert supervision when consumables run low while adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifikationen

• Experience operating waterjet cutting machines.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Proficient in shop math and layout techniques.
• Familiar with machine controls and setting speeds, feeds, and coolant flow.
• Identify material type, grade, and thickness.
• Willingness to perform routine maintenance and housekeeping.

Job Title: WATERJET OPERATOR(S)Reports to: LEADMAN – WATERJETJob Type: Hourly, Non-ExemptSUMMARY:Sets up and operates waterjet cutting machines to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts applying knowledge of machine shop processes,shop mathematics, and layout techniquesREQUIRED Essential duties and responsibilities:Sets up and operates waterjet cutting machines. Sets controls to regulate machining factors, including speed, feed, coolant flow, etc., orenters commands to retrieve, input or edit computerized machine control data.Interprets drawings, specifications or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operationsand setup requirements.Checks for correct material type, grade and thickness to be processed.Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls as required.Sets up and operates machine and checks first part/piece before proceeding with remaining parts/pieces.Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications using precision measuring instruments.Marks parts as required.Keeps machines and work area clean.Performs daily, weekly and monthly maintenance of machines as required.Oils machines (lubricate bearings).Notifies Supervisor when consumables are needed (focus tubes, sand, etc.).Changes oil or water seals if leaks are detected.Checks supplies of sand, garnet, etc., and refills containers as needed.Checks water pump and sand bagsUpkeep and cleanliness of work areas.Follow company safety & security guidelinesAttendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.Other duties as needed.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
