Job summary

Trans Ova Genetics in the United States (Iowa) seeks a Medium Preparation Technician to ensure precise, high-quality media for IVF and sexed semen labs. You will prepare media, coordinate with IVF, SS, QC, R&D teams, and maintain schedules.

You will order chemicals, ship media to remote locations, support QC and sterilization labs, assist with ovary aspiration, and keep detailed records while following strict lab procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field, or 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with aseptic technique and/or media preparation preferred.
• Ability to work under a laminar flow hood and perform repetitive hand movements.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to follow lab procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare media and stock solutions to support IVF and sexed semen lab operations.
• Coordinate with IVF, Sexed Semen, QC, Cloning, and R&D teams to fulfill media requests.
• Plan and maintain preparation schedules to meet lab demand.
• Order and manage chemicals and disposables for media preparation.
• Package and ship prepared media to remote locations.
• Support QC and sterilization lab activities as needed.
• Assist with ovary aspiration (porcine and bovine), including scheduling and setup.
• Maintain accurate records, data entry, and adherence to lab protocols.
