Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Core Scientist, Technical Transfer to lead and assist a range of technical transfer activities for IVD manufacturing. The role focuses on developing, documenting, and implementing new processes as part of the design transfer process.

You will support operations in process development, execute development batches, and troubleshoot issues. The position requires preparing validation documentation and driving continuous improvement within the Quality System.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
• 4 years of biotech manufacturing or technical transfer in FDA or ISO13485 environments.
• 4 years applying chemistry, biochemistry, or molecular biology in manufacturing.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of IVD manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Assist execution of development batches and troubleshoot issues.
• Develop and characterize moderately complex manufacturing processes.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Write and edit Quality System documents and contribute to training strategies.
