Job summary

Qualifications

• AR – IV therapy training requirement per BON.
• TN – 6 months experience and IV therapy training per BON.
• MS – completion of an IV therapy program or equivalent.
• LPN licensure required for employment.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and collaborates with the professional RN.
• Collects patient data.
• Assists in planning patient care.
• Assists in implementing patient care as directed.
• Assists with evaluating the plan of care.
• Administers medication as prescribed.
• Administers intravenous medications as per BON rules.
• Performs IV therapy according to BON guidelines.
• Provides teaching to patients and groups.
• Participates in activities to improve health care delivery.
• Participates in ongoing educational activities.
• Completes assigned goals.
