Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists, process prescriptions, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with USP 797/800 in a hospital environment.

You will work on-site at Lehigh Valley Hospital locations, assist with labeling, stock, and training, with day shift duties. Requires CPhT and RPT on hire, and familiarity with pharmacy automation is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 years sterile compounding pharmacy technician experience.
• Reliable in fast-paced settings and accurate with numbers.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription orders.
• Adheres to all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Maintains sterile compounding areas per USP 797/800.
• Checks medication orders and prescriptions and prepares labels.
• Maintains inventory and coordinates with team members.
• Familiar with controlled substances record keeping.
• Answers phones and assists customers promptly.
• Participates in orientation and training of new staff.
• Operates pharmacy equipment and ensures timely dispensing.
