Job summary

Polaris Pharmacy Services is seeking an IV Pharmacy Technician to work under a Registered Pharmacist in a fast-paced long-term care setting. You will fill prescriptions, prepare Sterile Compounding, enter data, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, an active Pharmacy Technician license, at least one year of IV tech experience, and strong computer skills. Competitive pay and robust benefits are offered with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy technician license/certification required by state regulations.
• Minimum of one year working as an IV pharmacy technician (long-term care pharmacy preferred).
• Experience with medications, IVs, and filling prescriptions.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions and prepare Sterile Compounding according to Polaris standards of quality and regulations.
• Maintain Sterile Compounding room per USP 797 guidelines and safety procedures.
• Data entry and insurance/billing support as needed.
• Assist pharmacist with communication to care facilities and callers.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant; calibrate equipment as required.
