Qualifications

• Licensed RN with NYS nursing license.
• Minimum of two years medical-surgical or critical care/ER experience.
• One year infusion nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification and PPD current.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home infusion nursing care with proper infection control.
• Teach self-administration of specialty infusion therapies.
• Access and maintain IV lines and ports, ensuring safety and quality.
• Coordinate nursing care plans with the Director of Nursing.
• Possess strong critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Qualified nurses must possess critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. One year experience in infusion nursing, and home health experience preferred.

  • Provides in home infusions as defined within the scope of practice by the Nurse practice act. Provides quality care to patients requiring intravenous therapy in home or in an alternate setting.
  • Administration and self-administration teaching of specialty pharmacy infusion therapies to patients with rare, chronic, and acute diseases in the home setting, infusion suites or physician office.
  • Expert in accessing, and maintaining SPC/PIV, CVAD (PICC/Midlines, implanted ports), SCIG, phlebotomy. Follows proper infection controlmeasures.
  • Infusion of IVIG, SCIG, Alpha 1 anti-trypsin products, Biologic Response Modifiers, and enzyme replacement products in the home setting. Administration and training of injectables to patients in the home care setting.
  • Coordinates the planning for delivery of nursing care with the Director of Nursing and administers appropriate clinical decisions in the delivery of patient care. Proactively updates client/patients’ POC, health changes, and other related incidents.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific differences in the patient population including physiological and developmental differences unique to each group.
  • Ensures safe care to patients; adheres to all policies, procedures, and standards, including time management, supply management productivity and quality of service
  • Willingness to travel within assigned geographic region. Flexibility to work alternate shifts on short notice and can be on call for field visits as determined by business needs.
  • Administers CPR and other emergency procedures, as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse through the NY State Board of Nursing.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Minimum of two years medical surgical or criticalcare/ER experience.
• Minimum of one-year recent infusion experience.
• Proof of current PPD, current CPR – hands-on class required.
