Job summary

Eland Engineering, a GAI Consultants company, is seeking full-time ITS Technicians in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Responsibilities include installing cameras and sensors, running fiber and power cables, and connecting equipment to power and networks. Candidates should have 2–4 years of related ITS experience and basic computer/networking skills.

MOT certification is a plus, with a Driver's License required. The role reports to the ITS Maintenance Supervisor and emphasizes safety, teamwork, and quality

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Install equipment including cameras, detectors, and controller cabinets in Fort Lauderdale.
• Run electrical, data, and fiber optic cabling; install pull boxes, conduit, poles, and foundations.
• Connect conductors to equipment and power services; test devices and document field activities.
• Maintain logs of field conditions and installation activities.
• Work under ITS Maintenance Supervisor to ensure safety and quality standards.

Job description

Eland Engineering, a GAI Consultants company, is a Florida-based Engineering and Maintenance Services firm. We are looking for a full-time ITS Technicians to perform a variety of tasks in Fort Lauderdale Florida.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Familiar with ITS field devices such as DMS, CCTV, MVDS, fiber optic and power systems.
• Install equipment including but not limited to cameras, detectors, controller cabinets.
• Installs electrical conductor, data conductor, and fiber optic cable.
• Installs pull boxes, conduit, poles and foundations.
• Connects conductors to equipment to make equipment work correctly.
• Connects electrical conductors to power services to energize equipment.
• Tests devices to ensure they work correctly.
• Prepares logs to keep track of field conditions and installation activities.

Experience required:

• 2-4 years of related experience

Required Skills:

• Basic computer and networking skills

Desired Skills:

• MOT Certification
• Fiber Optic Fusion Splicing and troubleshooting

Education required:

• High school diploma from an accredited high school. Technical coursework in related field is preferred.

• ITS Maintenance Supervisor
