Job summary

ServingSchools seeks an Itinerant Pediatric Physical Therapist to serve preschool children birth to five at the CDS Downeast site in Brewer, ME. This 40-hour per week position includes local travel to Ellsworth and Machias and may involve home visits.

The therapist evaluates and treats children within the IFSP/IEP framework, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support IDEA requirements and family-centered care.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development, disabilities, family systems and special education methods.
• Ability to interact with diverse populations and settings.
• Ability to document services and communicate with IFSP/IEP teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat preschool-aged children birth to five.
• Provide services as part of the IFSP/IEP team.
• Maintain DOT and MaineCare/Maine DOE documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff and families.
