Job summary

Machinify is seeking a senior leader to oversee the Itemized Bill Review (IBR) team, coordinating across departments to meet SLAs and drive client value. You will work with the Director to guide team results, implement process improvements, and address issues with leadership.

Responsibilities include managing production, evaluating requirements, coordinating with IT for system enhancements, and mentoring a high-performing team in a fast-paced healthcare finance environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience auditing itemized bills.
• 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Degree in nursing, healthcare administration or coding certification preferred.

• Continuously evaluate functionality across multiple programs to ensure efficient reviews.
• Perform requirements gathering to solve process-related issues with development.
• Manage team assignments and collaborate across teams to meet internal and external SLAs.
• Delegate tasks and oversee special projects involving the team.
• Coordinate system enhancements for the IBR team, including JIRA ticket creation, UAT, and production deployment.
• Monitor team performance and identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
• Identify team needs and escalate IT-related issues.
• Develop training materials, QA processes, and dispute workflows.
• Support operations with policy changes and onboarding for new team members.
• Identify client savings opportunities based on review and research.
• Act as liaison between Operations and Client Success teams.
• Organize onboarding of new team members.
• Other duties as assigned.

About the Opportunity

The ideal candidate is responsible for monitoring all day to day operations of the Itemized Bill Review team, collaborating across departments to ensure all SLA's are met, and managing all routine client communication. They will coordinate with the Director, Itemized Bill Review to evaluate progression of team results, recommend process improvement solutions, and escalate any necessary issues to leadership.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the Itemized Bill Review (IBR) team, managing production expectations, SLA's, client communication, and team performance.


• Analyze and track internal business requirements and processes through document and workflow analysis.


• Continuously evaluate the functionality across multiple programs to ensure efficient and accurate reviews.


• Perform requirements gathering to problem solve for any process-related issues that require attention from development.


• Manage team member's current assignments and collaborate across teams/departments for timeliness to ensure all internal and external SLAs are met.


• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members and oversee specials projects that involve the team.


• Coordinate system enhancements for the itemized bill review team, including JIRA ticket creation, UAT testing, and production employment.


• Monitor team's performance, tracking and trending the metrics of the team to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.


• Identify the needs of team members, paying special attention to issues that require attention from IT.


• Develop and coordinate training materials, quality assurance process, and dispute response workflows for the team.


• Support internal operations to keep the team abreast of any organizational or client policy changes.


• Identify and implement additional savings for clients based on review and research.


• Act as liaison between the Operations team and Client Success team in order to quickly address and resolve any client related issues.


• Organize and coordinate the onboarding of all new team members.


• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• 3+ years' experience performing audits of itemized bills.


• 2+ years' experience in a leadership position.


• Degree in nursing, healthcare administration or coding certification preferred.


• Proven experience with healthcare industry software products and process development.


• Experience managing multiple projects in a team environment.


• Possess a broad and comprehensive understanding of audit standards, policies and regulations, applies a broad and comprehensive knowledge in areas including, medical chart reviews.


• Strong project management and interpersonal skills, makes sound decisions, exhibiting initiative and intuitive thinking.


• Consulted often by others for advice and opinions and recognized as a leadership role model.


• Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of internal and external audit teams and management.

Pay range: $105,000 - $125,000 USD. The salary range is for Base Salary.Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, skill set, years of experience, and the employee's geographic location.
