Purpose and Objective:

SAP America, Inc. seeks an IT Technology Services Sr. Specialist (multiple positions available) at our Newtown Square, PA location to design and develop systems, applications, products, services and data to optimize and automate SAP's business processes and improve work efficiency.

Expectations and Tasks:

Engage with business stakeholders and other technology teams to deliver solutions to business requirements. Perform complex data and system development along with technology integration through learned technology coding languages. Facilitate the system, service, and product lifecycle, and ensure stable, secure, performant and high available operations for and between system and cloud services. Facilitate agile engagement with the business. Revise and update existing programs and provide required documentation. Manage cloud technologies, the associated architectural styles (e.g. microservices, containerization, serverless architectures) and web development stacks. Apply agile software delivery process and the industry-standard toolset for DevOps implementation. Apply modern data processing technologies and methods, such as non-SQL databases, data lakes etc. Apply modern Saas platform, integration & extensibility concepts.

Qualifications

Education and Occupational Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:

Experience must include four (4) years involving each of the following:

• Evaluating SAP architecture, identifying weaknesses, and acting on improvement opportunities;

• Driving strategic SAP direction through determination of short- and long-term IT investment needs;

• Facilitating evaluation and selection of software product standards;

• Advising customers on technical requirements, constraints, and supporting technical situations including IT critical situations throughout their lifecycle;

• Technical planning, implementation, configuration, and integration of SAP solutions;

• Agile methodologies including Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), and blended approaches;

• Managing and providing hands‑on Architect level support of current and future SAP related projects;

• Collaborating and coordinating closely with both business and internal infrastructure teams to deliver stable, and highly available business systems;

• S/4HANA architecture, conversion, migration path, methodology and tools;

• SAP S/4 HANA, BW on HANA, SDI, SDA, HA/DR setup, RTO, RPO, HSR, and BW MultiHost; and

• SAP cloud solutions and integration scenarios of SAP systems with SCP and BTP.

Hyperscaler basic certification (Azure, AWS, or GCP) within 4 years from hire.

Travel: Position requires up to 60% domestic and international travel to various unanticipated customer sites and SAP offices to support customer implementations and go-lives.

Compensation Range Transparency

The annual base salary range for this position is $127,525 - $195,976. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $131,000 - $222,700. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
