An Information Technology (IT) Technician III - Radio performs skilled technical work in the installation, maintenance, repair, modification, and support of wired and wireless communications network equipment, wired and wireless telecommunications networks and systems, and other related systems. Incumbents work on stationary land mobile communication units such as Land Mobile Radio infrastructure, base stations, and subscriber units; APCO Project 25 (P25) digital trunked systems, digital and analog simulcast radio systems, handheld (portable) and vehicle mounted (mobile) radio programming, and programming ("template") development; Fire Station Alerting Systems
