IT Technical Project Manager — Technology & Organizational Change

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Information Technology Project Management, this role sits at the intersection of technology delivery, organizational change, and continuous improvement. You won’t just be managing timelines and budgets. You’ll lead complex, cross-functional initiatives across Carlisle’s enterprise IT portfolio, including SAP/ERP implementations and upgrades, digital customer experience platforms, infrastructure initiatives, systems integrations, data and analytics solutions, and broader business transformation programs.

The strongest candidates bring more than technical project management expertise. They understand that successful technology implementation also requires bringing people, processes, and teams along through change. You’ll help guide stakeholders through ambiguity, drive adoption beyond go-live, and continuously improve how work gets done using Carlisle Operating System (COS) principles and other continuous improvement methodologies.

You’ll manage projects through every phase, including intake, planning, execution, testing, deployment, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization, while balancing scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and stakeholder expectations. You’ll also partner closely with Organizational Change Management and business leadership to support communication, training, stakeholder engagement, readiness, and adoption throughout the project lifecycle.

This role may also serve as lead project manager or program manager for large-scale, multi-site, or strategically critical initiatives, with visibility to both IT and business leadership.

What You'll Do:

Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

• Own the “last mile” of project delivery by facilitating cutovers, post-go-live stabilization, and post-implementation reviews to help ensure technical solutions translate into sustainable business outcomes.
• Partner with Organizational Change Management and business leadership on communication, training, stakeholder engagement, readiness, and adoption activities.
• Facilitate productive working sessions, workshops, discovery meetings, testing activities, and project reviews that build alignment and buy-in across technical and business teams.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects and programs using Carlisle IT PMO methodologies, governance standards, and the Carlisle Operating System (COS).
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, success criteria, and business outcomes in partnership with business and IT leadership.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects of varying size, complexity, and delivery methodology, including Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid approaches, while adapting as business priorities evolve.
• Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and resource constraints, including actionable mitigation and contingency plans.
• Drive accountability across cross-functional teams to keep milestones, deliverables, and commitments on time and within scope and budget.
• Develop and maintain project plans, RAID logs, status reporting, financial tracking, and documentation within established PMO standards and tools, including ServiceNow SPM.
• Partner with IT leaders, business stakeholders, consultants, and vendors to coordinate activities and maintain alignment with strategic priorities and operational readiness.
• Support portfolio planning and project intake activities, including estimation, sequencing, prioritization, business case development, and resource planning.
• Apply COS and continuous improvement principles to identify root causes, improve processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and strengthen project and operational outcomes.
• Develop and deliver clear, professional communications, presentations, and executive-level reporting tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve project delivery, reporting, governance, and operational efficiency within the PMO.
• Coach and advise team leads and individuals across the organization on project management principles and practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions with standard level of noise common to an office environment including office equipment and co-workers speaking to each other and on phones.

Additional Information:

This position will begin as a six-month contract-to-hire opportunity. The work supported by this role represents an ongoing, permanent business need, with the intention for the successful candidate to transition to regular full-time employment following the contract period. The contract-to-hire period is intended to provide both the candidate and the team an opportunity to ensure a strong mutual fit before transitioning to permanent employment.

This position typically operates during standard business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional flexibility may be required to accommodate meetings across time zones, project implementations, or critical business needs. The employee is expected to comply with all company policies, including those related to data security, confidentiality, acceptable use of technology, and remote work standards.

This position is based in Carlisle, PA and requires 100% onsite work during the first month of the assignment. Following the first month, the position will transition to a hybrid schedule, with the ability to work remotely up to 16 hours per week based on business and project needs. In-person attendance remains an essential component of the role for collaboration, access to onsite resources, and the performance of job responsibilities. Employees must comply with all site‑specific safety, security, conduct, and remote work policies.

Periodic travel may be required for project activities, team meetings, training sessions, or company-sponsored events, with advance notice provided. Travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with our travel and expense policy. Travel could be up to 10%.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills tailored appropriately for technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including managing multiple priorities and driving follow‑through on action items.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint, as well as collaboration tools such as Loop, Smartsheet, and Teams.
• Working knowledge of technologies commonly used within manufacturing and enterprise IT environments.
• Strong sense of accountability, ownership, and urgency, with the ability to prioritize and consistently deliver high-quality results on time.

Education and Experience:

• Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferable in a relevant field such as Business & Information Technology, Engineering, Manufacturing and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • SAP / ERP / Digital Customer Experience transformation experience
  • Agile + waterfall hybrid delivery
  • Experience leading projects utilizing internal labor and collaborating with external consultant resources
  • 5-10 years of experience, including the following:
    • 5+ years of demonstrated successful project management experience
    • 5+ years of business analysis or management experience
    • 3+ prior years’ experience as a Project / Program Manager for IT related implementation or major upgrade
• Preferred:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred but not required.
  • Prefer experience leading and managing large technical IT projects
