Job summary

The City of Bryan is seeking an IT Systems Analyst to own enterprise applications and translate department needs into practical technology solutions. You will help teams maximize the value of the tools they use daily.

Day-to-day work includes analyzing needs, configuring and supporting core apps, coordinating upgrades, resolving vendor issues, and building integrations, automations, and reports. Training and end-user support are also key duties.

Responsibilities

• Supports, maintains, and upgrades enterprise platforms.
• Manages configurations, patches, integrations, and vendor coordination.
• Partners with City and BTU staff to understand their needs and deliver clear requirements, practical configurations, and tested solutions.
• Manages application security, user access, single sign-on (SSO), certificates, and patching per security policies.
• Plans, tests, and implements improvements through the change management process, including readiness checks and stress testing.
• Builds automations, integrations, and reports to reduce manual work and improve processes.
• Collaborates with vendors and IT teammates to resolve issues and optimize performance.
• Maintains clear system documentation and cross-trains teammates.

The IT Systems Analyst supports the enterprise applications that keeps City of Bryan and Bryan Texas Utilities ( BTU ) operations running. This role is the go-to systems owner, turning department needs into practical solutions, tackling technical challenges, and helping teams get more from the technology they use every day.
