The IT Support Specialist's role is to ensure proper computer operations so that end users can accomplish organizational tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving end user help requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostics and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give hands-on help at the desktop level.
Technical level knowledge of Windows operating system including XP, 7, and 8/8.1, Windows based desktop and laptop computers, Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software applications and equipment; Knowledge of customer service principles and practices; Ability to demonstrate proper phone etiquette; Ability to speak and write clearly and accurately; Effective listening skills; Willingness to co-operate with others and work to the greater good; Demonstrates a proactive approach and a professional, enthusiastic and positive attitude. Willing and available to work modified schedules (weekends, holiday, etc.) as required.
Ability to drive and must possess a valid driver's license. May be required to travel to different Horizon work sites during the day based on operational needs or provide admin support at other locations. Regular attendance at trainings and Horizon meetings may require travel to a variety of Horizon sites.
