Methuen Construction is seeking an independent IT Support Analyst to join our internal helpdesk. You will deliver hands-on and remote support to employees across the Northeast, handling hardware, software, and connectivity issues, and ensuring day-to-day IT operations run smoothly.

This deskside role emphasizes proactive problem solving in a distributed environment, with travel of 10-15% within US and Canada and opportunities to contribute to ITIL best practices.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of deskside/desktop support in a Windows-based SMB environment.
• Strong customer service and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Solid understanding of basic networking concepts.
• Working knowledge of Azure AD / Entra ID identity management.
• Experience scripting to automate routine tasks (PowerShell preferred).
• Proficiency with Windows 10/11 and Office 365.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 10–15% within the US and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Provide deskside and remote technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues following ITIL best practices where applicable.
• Manage device lifecycle tasks including imaging, deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and identity management (Azure AD / Entra ID).
• Deliver advanced support for Microsoft Office 365 services (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.).
• Perform basic networking troubleshooting (Wi‑Fi, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency through scripting (PowerShell preferred).
• Document solutions, update the knowledge base, and contribute to process improvements.
• Effectively prioritize and manage support requests from multiple stakeholders with minimal supervision.

Position Summary

We are looking for an independent, motivated, and reliable IT Support Analyst to join our internal helpdesk team. In this deskside support role, you will deliver hands‑on and remote technical assistance to employees across the Northeast (CT, RI, MA, NH, VT, ME). You will handle complex issues, ensure smooth day‑to‑day IT operations, and serve as a key point of contact for our employees. Success in this position hinges on your ability to work independently, juggle priorities from multiple stakeholders, and proactively solve problems in a distributed environment.

In this unique role, you will support the building of critical water and wastewater infrastructure across the region. More than a typical office technology support role, your technical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills will directly contribute to the success of the most important construction projects in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide deskside and remote technical support for hardware (laptops, desktops, peripherals, printers, etc.), software, and connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner, following ITIL best practices where applicable.
• Manage device lifecycle tasks including imaging, deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting using modern tools.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and identity management (Azure AD / Entra ID).
• Deliver advanced support and administration for Microsoft Office 365 services (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.).
• Perform basic networking troubleshooting (Wi‑Fi, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency through scripting (PowerShell preferred).
• Document solutions, update the knowledge base, and contribute to process improvements.
• Effectively prioritize and manage support requests from multiple stakeholders with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands‑on experience in a / deskside / desktop support in a Microsoft Windows based small to medium sized business environment.
• Strong customer service skills and experience, with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.
• Solid understanding of basic networking concepts.
• Working knowledge of identity management systems (Azure AD / Entra ID).
• Experience writing and using scripts to automate routine tasks.
• Proficiency with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft Office 365.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness and ability to travel 10-15% within the United States and Canada.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Office 365 administration (admin center, licensing, security & compliance).
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Intune for device enrollment, configuration, compliance, and autopilot deployments.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and assisting employees with configurations.
• Experience with APIs, such as configuring and troubleshooting.
• Audit, governance, and compliance experience associated with doing business with the Federal government, such as Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).
• Hands‑on experience with construction management tool Procore and other legacy MWH platforms Sage & HH2.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, MD-102).
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience.
