DC Army National Guard is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to manage and secure the Guard’s networks and data. You will send, receive, and process messages, maintain systems, and build firewalls to resist cyber threats, with hands-on work in hardware, software, and network administration.

Training includes 10 weeks Basic Training and 20 weeks Advanced Individual Training, paid during service. You’ll gain civilian IT skills for a networked environment and eligibility for education

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to pass a physical exam and meet standards.
• Interest in IT and computer science with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain networks, hardware, and software.
• Provide customer and network administration services.
• Construct, edit, and test computer programs.
