Job Description

The IT Solutions Design Specialist leads the creation of a comprehensive end-to-end detailed solution with overall accountability for the technical design and delivery of the System Design Specification (SDS) and is largely focused on large-scale, complex or enterprise projects. May also be accountable for complex programming / coding.

Depth & Scope

• Provides technical expertise and guidance to others in a lead capacity and works autonomously
• Expert knowledge of the business, the broader organization, technical environment, processes, procedures, tools and other relevant technology areas (e.g. Architecture, Infrastructure, Security etc.) from a design / support / solutions perspective
• Primary subject matter expert in multiple areas and consults with clients/or project teams with respect to all aspects of research, analysis, design, hardware / software support and/or development of technical solutions and/or testing
• Works autonomously and leads on a diverse range of activities (e.g. design, support of technical business solutions) and is relied upon to coach / educate and monitor the work of others
• Acts as an internal expert resource in the exchange of technical information for project teams, and provides technical insight and recommendations to the business and/or outside vendors
• Typically reports to a Senior IT Development Manager or higher

Education & Experience

• Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate

• 7+ years related experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of experience in Salesforce development.
• Strong expertise in:
  • Apex (classes, triggers, async processing)
  • Lightning Web Components (LWC)
  • SOQL / SOSL
  • Writing tests in Playwright
• Proven experience implementing Salesforce Experience Cloud (Communities).
• Prompt engineering:
  • Effectively write prompts in using GitHub Copilot, to generate or debug code or test scripts
  • Contribute to reusable agents/prompts that can be scaled to other developers or other Salesforce development areas
• Experience in:
  • Salesforce integrations (REST/SOAP APIs)
  • Data modeling and governance
• Salesforce certifications:
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I (required)
  • Salesforce Architecture (preferred)
• Experience in:
  • Identity integrations (OAuth, SSO, MFA)
  • Financial Services / Commercial Lending domain
  • nCino platform
• Salesforce Platform Developer II or Experience Cloud Consultant certification
• Knowledge of Azure, API gateways, and enterprise integration patterns
