Job description

The IT Compliance & Solutions Lead strengthens the bank’s technology posture by driving compliance excellence, leading complex solution deployments, and shaping innovative strategies that support business growth. This role operates at the intersection of technology, risk, and operations—ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards. Working under the guidance of the IT Solution Architect Manager and the Information Technology Director, the position provides leadership across compliance, system administration, project delivery, and solution architecture.

Key Responsibilities
Compliance, Governance & Risk Management
  • Coordinate and support change‑management activities to meet regulatory and compliance requirements across systems, processes, customer/employee communications, and internal education.
  • Partner with IT leadership to develop and maintain documented procedures, policies, and security standards—including audit guidelines, hardening requirements, and best‑practice frameworks.
  • Apply deep knowledge of regulatory expectations and industry standards to recommend risk‑mitigation strategies for IT audit responses.
  • Track and update IT audit templates to ensure alignment with required deliverables.
  • Gather and organize audit request information.
  • Maintain audit artifacts supporting remediation validation, including meeting minutes with the Managed IT Provider.
  • Schedule and facilitate remediation review meetings.
  • Maintain current knowledge of IT compliance regulations.
  • Continuously monitor vulnerability updates and items impacting the business line, ensuring timely escalation of past‑due, critical, high, and medium findings in accordance with SLAs.
  • Open and track incident and request tickets with the Managed IT Provider; elevate issues to the Director of IT as appropriate.
Project Leadership & Technology Delivery
  • Independently support multiple technology initiatives aligned to the bank’s strategic plan.
  • Partner with the PMO to facilitate IT project deliverables:
  • Attend project meetings and provide status updates to IT management.
  • Serve as the IT technical liaison in coordination with the PMO.
  • Collaborate with Lines of Business, vendors, Business Line System Administrators, and IT Application Support to ensure smooth product build, deployment, and support transition.
  • Ensure newly onboarded systems are properly configured, documented, and maintained to QA specifications and annual review requirements.
  • Execute project‑management responsibilities for initiatives assigned by IT leadership.
Technical Leadership, Mentorship & Architecture
  • Lead priorities and schedules for IT Solution Architect I & II roles to meet departmental goals.
  • Mentor junior Solution Architects on system architecture, emerging technologies, and IT project‑management practices.
  • Construct and maintain departmental procedures for managing and maintaining production information systems.
  • Conduct technical reviews of software solutions to ensure alignment with corporate standards, policies, and architectural guidelines.
  • Perform comprehensive reviews for new products and major architectural changes, assessing security controls, system requirements, entitlements, support needs, and risk considerations.
  • Lead reviews for high‑complexity products impacting sensitive data, customer PII, or financial/accounting processes.
  • Document and communicate any deviations from corporate policies or build procedures to business lines and Information Security.
  • Collaborate with product managers, business administrators, IT teams, vendors, and service providers to deliver and support technical solutions.
  • Research existing technologies to identify opportunities for consolidation and reduction of duplicative tools or processes.
  • Evaluate new products and services that streamline operations or enhance automation.
  • Explore system integration and automation opportunities using APIs and related technologies.
  • Provide guidance to business lines and managed IT services on software‑management best practices.

Technical Expertise & Documentation
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of software platforms, system architecture, network architecture, and security best practices.
  • Construct and maintain system‑architecture and data‑flow documentation to support monitoring and management of systems and services.
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate policies related to system deployment, administration, and maintenance.
  • Complete mandatory and assigned training within required timeframes.
  • Maintain strong working relationships across the bank; operate independently while contributing to team and organizational success.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by IT leadership.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information technology, management information systems, or a related field—or equivalent experience.

Experience
  • 5–10 years of general IT experience.
  • 5–10 years of specialized experience in administration, design, deployment, QA/evaluation of client/server applications, database systems, or systems‑integration technologies (Web Services, REST APIs, connectors, etc.).
  • Preferred: 2–5 years leading audit and compliance responsibilities for system deployment and administration.
  • Preferred: 2–5 years leading medium‑to‑large IT projects of moderate to high complexity.
