Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an IT Software Engineer specializing in Salesforce to elevate user experiences in a cloud-hosted environment. You will design, implement, and enhance robust applications across the full lifecycle, with emphasis on Apex, LWC, and Salesforce best practices.

You will engage stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specs, perform unit/integration testing, and support release management and testing plans. Strong debugging and CI/CD experience are essential.

Qualifications

  • Proven Salesforce development experience with Apex, LWC and SOQL.
  • Experience integrating REST/SOAP APIs and managing version control with Git.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and write unit tests.

  • Performs application design, configuration, testing, and implementation for medium to high complexity projects.

  • Manages the product lifecycle of assigned modules, including administrative tasks and enhancement requests.
  • Contributes to application standards, policies, procedures, and conducts peer reviews of configuration work.

As an IT Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in elevating our user experience by designing, implementing, and enhancing robust applications within a dynamic, cloud-hosted environment. Every day you will leverage your expertise in Apex, LWC, and other Salesforce technologies to develop and maintain high-quality solutions, ensuring they align with business requirements and architectural best practices. You'll engage directly with stakeholders to gather intricate business requirements, translating them into precise technical specifications. From meticulous unit and integration testing to leading peer reviews and managing the product lifecycle of assigned modules, your contributions will be vital. You'll also play a key role in supporting product release management functions, developing test plans, and ensuring a seamless transition to operational teams.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong foundation in Salesforce development, demonstrated by proven proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and experience with REST/SOAP APIs. Your excellent problem-solving abilities, coupled with a meticulous attention to detail and strong debugging skills, will enable you to translate complex business problems into elegant technical solutions. Expertise in version control systems like Git, an understanding of CI/CD concepts, and the ability to write comprehensive unit tests are essential. Ideally, you'll hold Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, with Platform Developer II being highly desired, showcasing your commitment to excellence and continuous learning.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience in a Healthcare environment Required
  • 2-4 years’ experience working in IT as an Application Systems Analyst or Technical analyst type role Required
  • Preferred: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I Highly Desired: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II
