Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker's Leadership Program in Information Technology offers a fast-track path through three 8-month rotations, onsite in different facilities in the United States (and occasionally internationally). You will gain exposure to enterprise IT and AI-enabled projects, spanning multiple brands and functions.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders, learn AI and automation, and rotate every 6–12 months, with potential relocation for a rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Foundational knowledge of IT principles, systems development, project management, and analytical problem-solving.
• Prior internship in functional IT area such as Enterprise Architecture, Data Science, Business Insights, or Intelligent Automation.
• Interest in AI, automation, analytics and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn quickly.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams and levels.
• Demonstrated leadership potential and integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement mindset.
• Willing to rotate assignments and relocate for rotations.

Why SLP?

The Stanley Black & Decker Leadership Program (SLP) is a fast-track rotational program that is an integrated process for accelerating the development of our future leaders. It is geared toward recent graduates with Information Technology internship experience and a relevant business degree who have a passion for a long-term career in Information Technology.

IT SLPs work in three 8-month rotations onsite in different facilities across the United States or, in unique cases, internationally. Each rotation has project assignments that allow participants to become familiar with how we do business and contribute to the success of that business. Our program offers invaluable experiences for early-career associates seeking challenging developmental opportunities to jump-start their careers.

The Job

As part of the SLP program, you'll join our Information Technology team and gain experience in both enterprise IT and applied AI. Through an AI bootcamp in your first rotation and hands-on opportunities in later rotations, you'll:

• Build foundational knowledge in AI, automation, analytics, and digital technologies, and apply those capabilities across multiple IT rotations.
• Analyze business processes, assess needs, and support the development of technology solutions that align with business priorities and drive operational improvement.
• Partner with business stakeholders and IT teams to define requirements, solve problems, and recommend technical or AI-enabled solutions.
• Support the implementation, testing, documentation, training, and continuous improvement of systems, processes, and AI-driven capabilities.
• Collaborate across functions to identify opportunities for innovation, enhance user experience, and improve business performance through technology.

• Demonstrated leadership potential, sound judgment, integrity, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Must be willing to rotate work assignments, projects, and teams every 6‑12 months throughout the program. Relocation for a minimum of one rotation may be required.
