Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a senior data engineer for a 12-month contract to design scalable, highly available data services. You will guide architecture using Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Snowflake in a hybrid setup with clients.

Requires 8–10 years in data engineering, strong Azure DevOps skills, and AI tools like GitHub Copilot. Client-facing role covering end-to-end design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of data engineering experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks and Snowflake.
• Proficient in Azure DevOps and modern data engineering practices.
• Experience with AI tools: GitHub Copilot, Cortex/CoCo Genie for code generation and productivity.

Job Description

• Design highly available, scalable, efficient, optimized services/applications.
• Guide architectural choices using various services and solution methodologies.
• Work closely with clients and architects for aligning application architecture and lead the team for end-to-end design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Provide testing of basic and routine functionality to complete and deliver assignments.
• Ensure implementation as per specifications, coding standards, and project guidelines to ensure code integrity.
• Prepare necessary documentation as per project and user needs.

Candidate Requirements

• Solid 7 to 10 years of experience in data engineering, especially Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Proficient in Azure DevOps.
• Experience in AI tools: GitHub Copilot/Cortex(CoCo)/Genie for pseudo code creation, reverse engineering, and productivity enhancement.
• Client-facing position.
• Team player.
• Reinsurance background preferable.
