Cymertek seeks an IT Security Specialist in Honolulu, HI to safeguard our digital assets and protect sensitive information. You will identify and mitigate security risks, implement best practices, and ensure data confidentiality. The ideal candidate has strong cybersecurity knowledge, threat detection, incident response, and hands-on experience with access control, firewalls, and malware analysis.

This role requires TS/SCI Full Poly and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience preferred; contracts may accept equivalent credentials.

Responsibilities

• Implement security policies and controls.
• Monitor security tooling and alerts; respond to incidents.
• Assess vulnerabilities and exposures; recommend remediation.
• Ensure encryption standards and data protection controls.
• Maintain awareness of evolving cyber threats and trends.
