Job summary

The State of South Carolina, through the SC Public Employee Benefit Authority (PEBA), seeks a security specialist to plan, monitor, and maintain security software, networks, and cloud environments. Under limited supervision, you will triage alerts, document incidents, and support vulnerability management, incident response, and security controls.

  • Experience with securing on-premises and cloud environments and knowledge of security controls.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security tools and dashboards; triage alerts by risk and impact; escalate per procedures.
  • Perform incident response: document findings, preserve evidence, assist with containment.
  • Support vulnerability management by reviewing scans, tracking actions, and coordinating with teams.
