Job summary

Dynamo Technologies LLC is seeking an IT Security Engineer / Vulnerability Scanning Expert to support USDA OCIO CPOC. You will run vulnerability scans, manage Nessus and Tenable tools, and help secure mission‑critical systems.

Required: 3 years of related experience, US citizenship, and eligibility for a Public Trust clearance. You will automate tasks with PowerShell, produce security reports, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in vulnerability management.
• Experience with Nessus/Tenable products and scanners.
• Experience with Linux and Windows administration.
• Familiarity with Splunk SIEM queries and reporting.
• Ability to develop repeatable, scalable security solutions.
• Some PowerShell scripting and process automation experience.
• US Citizenship is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Runs vulnerability and compliance scans for USDA systems.
• Updates Nessus/Tenable scanners to latest versions.
• Troubleshoots scanning issues related to network, endpoints, or scanner.
• Investigates potential false positives and remediation steps.
• Develops provisioning scripts to automate tasks.
• Creates and maintains reports and dashboards for findings.
• Monitors health of scanners and agent deployments; coordinates with vendors.
• Documents SOPs and best practices; supports cross‑functional teams.
